This exhibition is the culmination of work completed in the last year developing individual art practice and a residency in Jingdezhen, China in 2018. Sharon and Ellen participated in a three week residency at the Pottery Workshop in Jingdezhen, China.
Jingdezhen has a 1700 year history of ceramic making and a rich cultural heritage. Sharon McEachern and Ellen Clark studied Blue and White Painting, Carving and Underglaze utilising porcelain as a means of expressing their imagery.
Working together for this exhibition brings Sharon and Ellen studying and practicing together after 25 years, they are presenting works that showcase the individual expression that each has developed, covering a variety of materials and styles, both in 2D and 3D.
